FAQ

SHOW LEADS

Can I order a custom-made leash?
Absolutely! Simply use my custom order form to send me your request.

How much does a custom-made leash cost?
The price depends on factors such as the colours, length, and beads you choose. Just fill out the form, and I’ll have all the information I need to provide you with a quote.

Are there any limitations regarding colours, length, beads, etc.?
You can choose up to four colours. The leash can be made in any length, with or without beads.

Can I see all the beads you have in stock? Are the beads heavy?
I don’t have photos of all my standard stock beads—there are simply too many, with thousands in stock. Feel free to describe what you’re looking for, or browse my Facebook albums featuring previous leashes to see if you find a style you like.
All handmade glass beads currently in stock will be available to view here on the website. Handmade glass beads are generally heavier than standard beads. My standard beads come in a variety of materials, including plastic, glass, and metal. If you prefer lightweight beads, just let me know when placing your custom order.

Why do some show leads have tassels instead of a handle?
Many exhibitors don’t use the handle on a show lead, so you can choose decorative tassels instead. Please note that the tassels are purely decorative and are not strong enough to be used as a handle.

Of course, you can also order a show lead with a traditional handle or a small finger loop at the end.

What’s the difference between the Diamond Pattern and the Spiral Pattern?
You can see examples of both patterns on this page.

Can I see all the possible leather colour combinations?
Not all of them, but many! You can browse all the leather colour combinations I’ve made so far here.

What is an accent colour?
An accent colour means the leash is made with 75% of one colour and 25% of another. You can see some examples here.

GLASS

What is the delivery time?
Please allow up to two weeks before shipping, as all etched glassware is made to order.

How visible is the engraving?
The etching is not completely white. It is partially translucent, so its visibility varies depending on the lighting. The finished result has the appearance of frosted glass.

What size is the design?
Most designs are etched at either 60 mm high or 60 mm wide, depending on the artwork’s proportions. This ensures the design remains the same size every time you order, even if you place multiple orders.
Designs on the vase are naturally larger.

How many glasses can I order?
As many as you’d like! All glasses are sold individually, but they’re also available in discounted packs of six (excluding the vase). The discount is applied automatically at checkout.

I can’t find my dog breed!
Get in touch, and I’ll see if I can find it for you.

Do you offer designs other than dogs?
Yes! I also have designs featuring horses, cats, and other animals. If you’re looking for something specific, feel free to contact me—I may be able to create it.

Can I have my own dog engraved on the glass?
Yes! As long as you have a good-quality photo for me to work from, I can create a custom design based on your dog. There is a design fee of SEK 250 for this service.

Can I have different designs on the same glass?
Yes. Different designs can be engraved on opposite sides of the same glass for an additional charge.

Can I have glasses engraved with my own logo?
Yes, depending on the design of the logo. Get in touch, and we’ll see what’s possible.

Can I add text to the glasses?
Absolutely! Simply add the glasses you’d like to purchase to your cart, then add the desired number of custom text engravings here >>

STICKERS

What does “designed for a dark background” mean?
Many of the designs are only available in a version intended for application on a darker background. Here’s the difference:

  • Left: A decal designed to be applied to a background that is darker than the vinyl itself.
  • Centre: The exact same design applied to a lighter background. This creates an “X-ray” effect and doesn’t look very good.
  • Right: The design has been adjusted and optimised for application on a lighter background.

What type of vinyl do you use?
I only use Oracal 751 vinyl, which is a premium-quality cast vinyl that’s thin, durable, and easy to apply.

Outdoor durability:

  • Black and White: up to 8 years
  • Silver and Gold: up to 7 years

How do I apply the decal?
The surface must be clean, dry, and smooth before application. Clean it with methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) or a similar degreasing cleaner.

For best results:

  • The ambient temperature should be at least 10°C (50°F).
  • Avoid applying the decal in direct sunlight.

Application instructions

  1. Rub firmly over the transfer tape using a credit card or similar tool to ensure the vinyl adheres to the transfer tape rather than the backing paper.
  2. Carefully peel away the backing paper.
  3. Position the decal where you want it.
  4. Rub firmly over the entire decal with a credit card or squeegee to ensure good adhesion.
  5. Slowly peel away the transfer tape. If any part of the decal lifts with the tape, rub it down again before continuing.
  6. Peel the transfer tape back at a 180° angle for the best results.
  7. Check that every part of the design has transferred successfully.

The adhesive reaches full strength after approximately two weeks, so it’s best to avoid washing the decal during that time.

After curing, it can usually withstand pressure washing, but avoid directing the high-pressure nozzle straight at the decal.

Please follow these instructions carefully. Some designs contain very fine lines, making it especially important that the surface is perfectly clean and that the decal is firmly burnished during application. Otherwise, the decal may not adhere properly or last as long as intended.
