The leads are always braided under the beads, and the beads are secured with a knot so they won't move.

Kangaroo leather is the most durable and soft leather you can find, and is very suitable for show leads. The leather gets even more soft the more you use it. The leather is beveled and conditioned before braiding, and rolled after braiding to get the leather as nice and soft as possible.

If you take good care of your lead it will last a very long time. Always put it back in its pouch after using, and it doesn't hurt to condition it once in a while, especially after using in wet conditions.
